Microsoft Windows Vista already comes to the computer’s market around 2 years ago. Many people using it as soon as it was launched, and many other still with their Windows XP (for windows user). Me myself still using Windows XP until now, because of some reasons; Many programs was not compatible with the new Windows Vista, and it still not on the stable version yet.

Windows Vista

Windows Vista itself developed by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, Tablet PCs, and media center PCs. It’s known with its codename Longhorn in 2005, and launched in the year of 2006.

Windows Vista comes with many new features such as graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems.

This Vista has many different editions:

  • Windows Vista Starter : it’s like Windows XP Starter Edition.
  • Windows Vista Home Basic : it’s like Windows XP Home Edition, targeted for low-budget home users.
  • Windows Vista Home Premium : Containing all features from Home Basic, but it has many additional features.
  • Windows Vista Business : Comparable to Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, Windows Vista Business Edition targets the business-market.
  • Windows Vista Enterprise : It targets the enterprise segment of the market.
  • Windows Vista Ultimate : It combines all the features of the Home Premium and Enterprise editions, plus the “Ultimate Extras” and stronger encryption.

So, if you planning to buy Windows Vista, you can buy the edition that suitable to you, depend on your needs and your budget.
